Mona will also share have items she purchased on the trip.  Bonus:  we will have a door prize from Bali for those attending in person.

Susan Payne Music Painting

Susan Payne has a storied background as an artist and art educator in Virginia and North Carolina. Now retired and living in Boone, Susan recognizes and appreciates the strong sense of community in this region. From backroads and mountaintops, to bluegrass concerts and farmers’ markets, to the view from her porch, sources of inspiration come in many forms.

Rendering in acrylics and oils, Susan explores the emotional aspect of color, using it to capture her personal voice and the memories evoked within the community. Grateful to live in a town that embraces emerging artists, Susan has enjoyed opportunities to exhibit in Edgewood Cottage, the Blue Ridge Art Spaces, the Florence Thomas Art School, among other community galleries.
