Natural Dyeing Presentation —First we’ll take a closer look at the Peruvian wool yarns that were donated last year, along with the natural dyestuffs that we have for an upcoming workshop in April. Then we will view a 45 min video of a dye workshop presented to the guild back in the late 80s (or early 90s?) at Hickory Ridge Homestead. (Jane Campbell can possible verify the date as she is a featured participant!) The workshop was given by Rita Schwab, a founding member who has since moved away. The video is very informative regarding the basic process of natural dyeing and is a good place to start planning our workshop.
We will have our February meeting on Saturday the 20th at 10:30 EST. Our presenter will be using her Zoom account for the meeting so I will send that link out once I receive it. She will also send out a tools and materials list that I will send out so you can follow along.

Hi,
We are not going to meet in January. Please pay your dues to Janeene and we will see you next month.
Our December meeting will be held via Zoom on Saturday, Dec. 12th at 10:30. I am including the link below. We will have a show and tell session and a program from the Surface Design Association https://www.surfacedesign.org/ on the Mandator Color Panel Discussion. Susan Sharpe is a member and can introduce this and discuss the benefits of being a member.
The Holiday Market is going on downtown in the space where we exhibited in October, so if you are looking for a unique gift, be sure and check this out. Amber was even talking about offering a virtual shopper option.
Don’t forget our meeting tomorrow at the space behind Doe Ridge Pottery and via Zoom. We will have a business meeting first and then do a tour of our show. Don’t forget that we are open this weekend and next plus we now have access to open the gallery at anytime if you wanted to have a private showing with someone (family, friends from out of town, etc.)
We have also been requested by the Art Gallery to have a Local night this coming Thursday from 5-8. We will be discussing this tomorrow.
