Inspiring Show and Shares, and a cardboard loom workshop where creativity reigned

Inspiring program featuring the work of new member Catherine Altice and as always, creative Show and Share items:

At the November meeting, our members enthusiastically needle-felted wool into holiday ornaments and other decorative items.

Janeene Ross marketing her knitted crafts. Kelsey Wagner exhibited her “trash” Art. Mary Valante demonstrated card weaving and assisted young weavers. Jeanne Lawrence knits fairies on the tiniest needles!

Here are some pictures of our show at the Wilkesboro Visitor Center. The show will be on display until February 28th so if you are going by there on HWY 421 stop by and check it out.

Our May program was a mini felting workshop taught by the talented Jane Campbell. We had a blast and here are some examples of our work.

After witnessing firsthand the catastrophic flooding and losses caused by Hurricane Helene in the High Country, our members found welcoming homes for hand-knitted and crocheted Emotional Support Chickens.
